My name is Sissi Qiang I believe that each of us carries an entire inner world shaped by our experiences, relationships, identities, joys, and struggles. Because life can often feel lonely, confusing, or overwhelming, I see therapy as a space where you don’t have to navigate those experiences alone.
In our work together, I hope to create a space that feels safe, genuine, and alive — a place where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences with honesty and curiosity. I approach therapy with warmth, deep respect, and attentiveness to your unique story, cultural background, and identity. My work is grounded in trauma-informed and person-centered approaches, while also drawing from psychodynamic, narrative, ACT, and somatic perspectives to support healing and self-understanding.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University and hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Beijing University of Technology. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity exploration, and cross-cultural challenges in both counseling and community mental health settings. I also have a background in dance and theater, experiences that deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and the importance of presence, expression, and human connection.
Outside of therapy, I love dance, film, theater, travel, yoga, and creative storytelling through photography and video. I also have a deep love for the ocean and whales — they are constant sources of peace, wonder, and grounding for me.
